My thoughts on NOBULL Shoe Versions (Shoes and Fabric Choices are many)

he Tall Take

If you’re looking at NOBULL, you’re already in a good spot—these are legit training shoes (good enough that even Under Armour had to step things up).

But before you buy, you need to understand:

  1. The model (what you’re using them for)
  2. The fabric (how they actually wear)

Step 1: Pick Your Shoe

Outwork (Strength Training)

  • Built for lifting
  • Stable, flat base
  • Best for: heavy training, gym sessions

Your go-to if you’re doing serious strength work.

Drive 2 (Running / Cross-Training)

  • Most cushioning of the three
  • More flexible
  • Best for: running, higher movement workouts

This is the most “athletic” feeling option—but also where fabric choice matters most.

All Day (Everyday + Light Training)

This one is more versatile than people think.

  • Solid base
  • Noticeable cushion (just less than Drive 2)
  • Works for: walking, casual wear, even light running

Think of it as:
👉 A hybrid shoe — not just lifestyle, not fully performance

If you want one pair that can do a bit of everything, this is a sneaky good option.

Step 2: Choose the Right Fabric

Ripstop (Best Overall — Easy Choice)

This is the one.

  • Durable
  • Structured
  • Clean across all colors
  • No extra thought required

I’ve got multiple pairs—no misses.

👉 If you don’t want to overthink it: buy Ripstop

Mesh (Know What You’re Getting)

  • Extremely breathable
  • But the entire upper is see-through

You will:

  • See your socks
  • Have to think about matching
  • Notice it every time

Also—question mark on long-term durability.

Knit (Skip for Training)

  • Soft, flexible
  • Slip-on feel

But:

  • Feels weak
  • Lacks structure
  • Not something I trust for workouts

Mine don’t leave the closet.

Bonus: Liquid Ceramic (Outwork Only)

  • Protective outer coating over the shoe
  • Adds durability
  • Slightly more “armored” feel

Kinda cool—and makes the most sense on Outwork where you’re putting the shoe through the most.

Bottom Line

  • Outwork + Ripstop → Best for lifting
  • Drive 2 + Ripstop → Best for running/training
  • All Day + Ripstop → Best all-around option (walking + light running + daily wear)

Everything else?

👉 You’re adding decisions you probably don’t want.

Final Recommendation

If you’re buying your first pair from NOBULL:

Pick your model based on use—but stick with Ripstop and you’ll avoid 90% of the issues.
